Our DSD Delivery and DSD Van Sales products have been enhanced to add visit optimisation. A driver or salesman can now optimise their planned visits so that they deliver in the most efficient sequence.
Our implementation takes into account the delivery time windows that customers may have in place, and uses Google's traffic prediction algorithms to create an estimated arrival time at each customer.
The estimated arrival time can be updated after each visit if desired for more accurate arrival time predictions. These predicted arrival times are uploaded to our DSD Connect portal so that Customer Service operators have expected times at their disposal.
Optimisation is also being added to our DSD Connect portal so that the delivery sequence of routes can be optimised before they reach the mobile devices. This means that orders can be picked accurately in reverse delivery sequence, making your drivers even more efficient.
